BRING PANTONE'S COLOUR OF THE YEAR INTO YOUR HOME

The colour bible Pantone have announced 'Viva Magenta' as THE colour of 2023.

The tone is derived from joyful red and is described by Pantone as  ‘an unconventional shade for an unconventional time: a new vision.’

Leatrice Eiseman, who is the Executive Director at the Pantone Color Institute explains, ‘In this age of technology, we look to draw inspiration from nature and what is real. PANTONE 18-1750 Viva Magenta descends from the red family, and is inspired by the red of cochineal, one of the most precious dyes belonging to the natural dye family as well as one of the strongest and brightest the world has known.’

So how to incorporate such a bold shade into your home? You would have to be very brave to go all out on walls and furniture with this intense tone so we suggest adding pops of colour in the form of quilts, table linen and accessories.

Like Interior Designer Charlotte Boundy, who uses our Claret Pique quilt to great effect in her spare bedroom. The same floral design can be found on our scalloped claret placemats.

Also on tables, the contrast of natural rattan with the crimson border on our Garnet placemats adds just enough drama.

Increase the effect with our pink ditsy or bordeaux scallop napkins.
