THE INTERIORS COLLECTIVE AT MEADOW, STOCKBRIDGE
We're delighted that after the success of the first INTERIORS COLLECTIVE pop up in Marlborough last year that we're back, this time in Stockbridge, Hampshire.
The collective will bring together fabrics, wallpapers, furniture, ceramics, rugs and other home accessories from many of the UK's leading interior designers and homeware brands.
The home of this year's event is the beautiful Meadow in Stockbridge, a beautiful cafe, Mylo art gallery and event space in a converted Georgian building on the High Street.
The pop up will coincide with Mylo's Summer Art Show.
Exhibitors joining this year's collective include:
SARAH.K: Sarah set up SARAH.K in 2012 after living and working in India. The company was inspired by her rural upbringing in the Scottish Borders, her background in travel, design and millinery and her passion for vintage textiles, including her own Grandmother's linen collection. SARAH.K collection of bed and table linen and home accessories celebrate the centuries old traditions of hand block printing, hand embroidery and hand weaving.
TATE & DARBY RUGS: Tate & Darby has several years of experience sourcing beautiful one of a kind rugs and also design their own collections in house. With the majority of their makers being in Morocco and India, the sustainability of where and how their rugs are made, remain core to the business. Close relationships with the artisans have been established over the years, making sure they are fairly paid and respect their craft. They are made to the highest standard using the natural fibres and the finest quality of wool from the Atlas Mountains, New Zealand and the Ganges Delta.
ILALA: Founded 20 years ago whilst criss-crossing southern and east Africa, Ilala will bring to The Collective the wonderfully raw rustib beauty of the woven wares of Kwa-Zulu Natal, Malawi and Matabeleland, Zimbabwe. Everything in the ILALA collection is woven from organic ilala palm, river reeds, grasses, cane, grain stalks and creepers. By sourcing and distributing these beautifully handcrafted homewares, Ilala help communities maintain their rich weaving tradition, where local people take great pride in ancient skills. We also help the local ladies to have a life outside their homes and to gain financial independence. The money they earn from weaving goes back into the weaving communities. The ILALA family is a rich tapestry of many threads, woven together with passion to bring you pieces that are authentic, personal and beautiful.
SARAH VANRENEN: Sarah Vanrenen has been one of the UK’s leading interior designers for more than 20 years. She has undertaken a broad range of residential and commercial projects in the UK and abroad and in both the countryside and the city. immersed in the world of interiors from an early age, Sarah’s childhood memories are of days spent with her mother, designer Penny Morrison, on project installations and scouring fabric and antiques shops in London. Sarah’s fabric, wallpaper, furniture and lighting collections have evolved over time, designed by her to sit alongside other fabrics and introduce her signature bold colour into decorating schemes for clients.
KATE GUINNESS DESIGN: Kate Guinness Design is an interior design and decoration studio based between their West London studio and Wiltshire, working on both residential and commercial projects. Having launched in 2016, Kate and her team specialise in creating interiors with an authentic sense of accumulation through combining antiques, fabrics, colour and art, resulting in projects anchored by timeless details that feel lived in rather than styled. Kate will be bringing her collection of furniture, lamps and cushions to the collective.
CAMILLA HAMPTON: Interior designer Camilla Hampton has become the go-to destination for scallop borders and her own collection of scallop furniture.
MASTER THE ART: Roger Newton began his training in 1955 at the famous studio of Colefax and Fowler. There he learned from experts the art of furniture decoration and had the opportunity to work on pieces from the finest houses, for both private clients and The National Trust. In 1961, Roger opened his own workshop, specialising in furniture painting, gilding and lacquering. Today Roger and his daughter Kate share they expertise running courses in Shropshire. They will be bringing their collection of hand painted and guilded home accessories to The Collective.
COMPTON MARBLING: Compton Marbling began making hand-marbled paper and products in the early 1970s. The business has grown over five decades but each sheet of our marbled paper is still made individually, by hand, using traditional methods that date back many centuries. Our range of pieces for the home draw on the heritage of marbling, but bring a fresh, modern take, suitable for all homes.
GEORGE CLARK, STOCKBRIDGE: local interiors shop and designer, George Clark sells contemporary and traditional interior accessories, including beautiful lamps and shades, ceramics, materials and wallpapers, and an abundance of affordable gifts. Camilla is continually sourcing unique and beautiful pieces for the shop and prides herself in offering you inspiring ways with which to update your home.
VICTORIA KOSTORIS CERAMICS: Beautiful handcrafted and hand painted ceramics inspired by Victoria’s rural surroundings in the Scottish borders.
